The Brief Introduction
of
Jilin Province Electric Power Survey and Design Institute

Jilin Province Electric Power Survey and Design Institute ( hereafter called JLED) was established in 1955, it is one of the earliest electric power design institutes after the foundation of the People's Republic of China. It holds several Class A certificates for electric engineering prospect and design, the entire process contract, the engineering consultation, the engineering cost consultation, etc. It obtained qualification of undertaking overseas projects which was granted by the Commercial Ministry in 2005. 

JLED has been engaged in electric power design and scientific research for a long time, it posses strong technical force and fine outfits, it can undertake engineering design and prospect for all sizes of electric power projects, especially for large and medium sized thermal power projects and heat supply projects, planning of electric power system, super high voltage transmission line project, communication project and automatic project design; design and prospect for hydrometerological projects, engineering geological projects, civil buildings and municipal planning; design and plan for municipal heat pipelines; as well as engineering consultation, entire process contract and supervision for all above mentioned projects.

During 51 years, JLED has made a great contribution to the construction of electric power in China. The designed power capacity has reached 680000MW; over 15800MVA for transmission line and with the voltage up to 500kV and below, with total length of transmission line more than 10000km. The projects completed by JLED spread over dozens of provinces and regions in China such as in Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Guangdong, Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Jiangsu, Fujian, Yunnan, Xinjiang, etc., and successfully entered into overseas markets as of Korea, Southeast Asia, Africa and America, etc. In recent years, it carved out the new energy design field such as design for straw stalk burning power plant, wind power farm, garbage burning power, kerogen, thermal electric cooling, gas-fired combined circulation, etc., hence it has accumulated a lot of experiences and achievements, up to now it has completed design for five wind power farms, three garbage burning power plants, more than twenty stalk burning power plants, in 2006 it undertakes entire process contract of the first stalk burning power plant in Northeast China which to be put into generation in the November of 2007. At present, this project is the biggest orange straw power station. JLED has obtained more than hundreds of awards for the excellent engineering prospect, design, consultation, standard design, scientific and technical advances of provincial and ministerial level, golden medal of excellent engineering construction and standard design for national construction projects, brass medal for excellent design, etc.

JLED has set up a quality management system strictly according to GB/T19001. In 1997, JLED obtained the quality system certification from China Electric Power Enterprise Association. In 2006, it was approved of management system certification for quality, environment and occupational health. Many QC groups have won excellent awards of provincial and national level.
